Getting in and out of Chile
Travelers will have to present the following documents when boarding their flight to Chile:
1. Proof of a health insurance policy that provides $30,000 coverage (specifically) for COVID-19 and related health issues during the traveler’s stay in Chile (see above).
Lance Cygielman (303-734-9303) can obtain trip/health insurance that covers this requirement, which includes a letter documenting this issue. Estimates for travel and health insurance, that meet Chile's entry requirements, range from $350 to $1,250 based on age and room selection. Travel insurance that allows cancellation for Any Reason may be useful. If you obtain your own trip/health insurance, you are responsible for confirming that it meets Chile's requirements.
2. A Mobility Pass is required to enter Portillo. Information on obtaining a Mobility Pass will be provided once you've signed up.
3. A completed “Traveler’s Affidavit” prepared less than 48 hours before boarding. Airlines may provide a paper Traveler's Affidavit at the airport. Regardless, we will provide needed information (and instructions for an electronic affidavit) once you've signed up.
Random PCR testing may occur upon arrival in Chile. Although we have been advised that this is unlikely, we will provide additional information about the testing requirements.
All travelers receive a daily electronic health survey from the Ministry of Health for 10 days after arrival. The completion of this survey is mandatory.
